Is it time for an old-world train tour?

Is it time for an old-world train tour?

The train is coming!

I recently went to a mini-Travel Week, hosted by Brownell Travel. Several top vendors were there and one of the trends I noticed was the increase in train tours. Most continents now have a few luxury rail tours with beautifully refurbished and restored trains for taking you from one world-class city to the next.

Traveling at an old-world pace is an antidote to our modern lifestyles. There are custom itineraries available that allow for a taste of everything. On board you’ll often find expert guides to provide deeper understanding of the history and geography of the places you’ll visit and the trains themselves. Many have sleeper cabins so you can unpack only one time while you travel through stunning terrain and visit amazing destinations.

A few of the trips that caught my eye included the:
Venice-Simplon Orient Express
The Grand Hibernian
Hiram Bingham (Machu Picchu)
South Africa’s Rovos Rail

My clients get the benefits of working through me to book the trip to ensure that their trip is seamless from start to finish. With Brownell and my long-term relationships with these exceptional travel partners, we make sure that the vendor is fully vetted so our clients have the trip of a lifetime.

If you and your family are looking for a luxury train vacation experience, I’d love to talk with you to find out your interests.  Call or email me to see if it’s the right match for your next vacation.
